Casual Jobs FAQs
What are the benefits of part-time and casual work?
Part-time and casual work gives you flexibility to balance work with study, family, or other commitments. Common benefits include flexible hours to suit your availability, faster entry into the workforce, the chance to gain experience across different industries, and in many cases the opportunity to convert to an ongoing or permanent role.
Do I need experience to apply to a casual job?
Not always. Many roles require basic computer or communication skills, while others are entry-level or offer training. Check each job ad for specific requirements.
Are there remote or work-from-home part-time jobs?
Yes. Some employers offer remote or hybrid part-time roles, particularly in customer service, administration, data entry, and digital marketing. Availability depends on the role and employer. Use the keyword filter on this page to search for remote or work-from-home positions, or register your details and tell us your preferred working arrangement.
How often are new jobs posted?
We update listings daily. If you don’t see a suitable job today, register your details and we’ll contact you when something fits your availability and skill set.

What is the difference between part-time and casual work?
Part-time employees work regular, set hours each week and receive the same entitlements as full-time employees on a pro-rata basis, including annual leave and personal leave. Casual employees work on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours, but receive a higher casual loading rate in lieu of leave entitlements. Both types of work offer flexibility, and many casual roles convert to part-time or permanent positions over time.
