About the Role
BASF is seeking a Warehouse Operator , he will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock and materials. The role requires a reliable and self-motivated individual who can work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and store incoming goods accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack customer and internal orders with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare orders for dispatch and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
- Operate forklifts, including high-reach and side-reach equipment, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktakes as required.
- Use computer systems and inventory management software to process and record warehouse activities.
- Learn and confidently use new computer, inventory and warehouse management systems as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods or warehouse issues.
- Work collaboratively with the team while also being capable of working autonomously.
- Complete allocated tasks efficiently and within required timeframes without constant supervision.
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Forklift Licence, with experience operating high-reach and side-reach forklifts.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing and recording stock.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems.
- Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new computer and inventory management systems.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Reliable, punctual and consistent work ethic.
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
