Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Operator (January 2027 Start)
for Port Hedland Salt Operations.
This is a great opportunity to join a safety-focused team working on site with Rio Tinto. You'll work alongside experienced crews, supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to safe and reliable outcomes.
Reporting to the Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
• Operating Triple Road Trains within a mining environment
• Assisting with fixed plant activities within the wash plant
• Conducting plant walk-arounds, inspections and clearing salt spillages
• Completing sampling and quality assurance activities
• Providing general operational support while maintaining safe and efficient operations
About You
• Previous experience operating Mobile Plant in a mining or heavy industry environment
• Mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial operations experience
• Current full C Class Manual Driver's Licence
• Ability and willingness to operate Triple Road Trains and learn additional mobile plant equipment including graders
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Dedication to everyone's safety
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing
