Join an exciting and dynamic Engineering Projects team supporting BHP’s Eastern Pilbara Iron Ore operations. This is a site-based opportunity where you’ll manage multiple sustaining capital projects end-to-end—initially focused on shutdown-dependent electrical works including MCC replacement —with strong autonomy, support from established project frameworks, and exposure to a diverse FY27–FY28 portfolio.

Required Skills
  • Electrical background: Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Trade qualification/strong electrical delivery background
  • Demonstrated project management experience across the full lifecycle (scope → design → procurement → execution → commissioning/handover)
  • Proven experience delivering shutdown-dependent electrical projects(critical path, outage/shutdown tie-ins)
  • Strong capability in:
    • Schedule development and management(Primavera P6 and/or MS Project)
    • Cost estimating and budget tracking
    • Stakeholder engagement across operations, engineering, vendors and contractors
    • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Solid safety mindset and disciplined risk management approach
Nice to Have Skills
  • Primavera P6 proficiency (if you’re strong in MS Project, that’s still valuable)
  • Prior FIFO / site-based project delivery experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Experience with multi-discipline project portfolios ($1M–$50M range)
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
  • A formal Project Management qualification is highly regarded
  • Experience working within structured project governance frameworks in operational environments
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work site-based on a 5:2, 4:3 roster in the Eastern Pilbara
  • Flexibility to align delivery to shutdown windows and operational priorities
  • PAYG contract role: $110.00/hr base + super, initial 12-month contract with strong extension potential; start ASAP(we will wait for the right person)
