You will work as part of the underground Longwall Move team, supporting the safe and efficient execution of equipment recovery, relocation and installation activities.
Depending on your experience, competencies and site authorisations, the work may include:
- Supporting Longwall recovery and installation activities
- Operating equipment used during Longwall Move work
- Assisting with the movement of Longwall equipment and materials
- Supporting outbye and secondary-support activities
- Completing equipment pre-starts and reporting defects
- Working alongside operators, tradespeople and supervisors
- Following lifting, isolation, transport and underground work controls
- Contributing to the safe completion of move activities within the required schedule
To be considered, you will need:
- Demonstrated underground coal mining experience
- Previous Longwall Move, Longwall installation or Longwall recovery experience
- Current Standard 11 underground competencies
- Current Queensland Coal Board Medical
- Current driver’s licence
- Signed training transcripts or relevant site authorisations
- Competencies relevant to the equipment you will operate
- Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day and night roster
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong commitment to safe underground work
