This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional with a strong maintenance background to play a critical role in the development and improvement of maintenance documentation, master data and asset management processes.
Offered as an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension, this position will suit someone who thrives on collaborating with stakeholders across all levels of the business and transforming technical information into practical, user-friendly documentation.
About the Role
Reporting into the Fixed Plant Maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a range of technical documentation to support safe, efficient and reliable maintenance practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and updating work instructions and maintenance procedure s
- Developing preventative maintenance instructions and documentation
- Creating and processing SAP master data requests
- Spares cataloguing and maintenance of asset information
- Supporting task list, maintenance plan and maintenance strategy development within SAP
- Reviewing OEM manuals and translating technical information into site-specific documentation
- Collaborating with engineers, planners, supervisors, reliability teams and frontline technicians
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and asset management functions
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Technical Writer position within mining, resources or heavy industry
- Strong Fixed Plant Maintenance knowledge
- Experience writing technical documents, work instructions and maintenance procedures
- SAP Master Data experience, including maintenance plans, task lists and strategies
- Spares cataloguing and asset management experience
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from management through to frontline maintenance personnel
- $85.00 per hour plus super (PAYG)
- 5:2 | 4:3 roster
- Day shift only
- Initial 6-month contract
