The Opportunity Working closely with customers, suppliers and the external sales team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service while supporting sales growth across a diverse portfolio of scientific products and laboratory equipment.
This is a varied position that combines customer support, quoting, order management and commercial account support, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with laboratories across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Prepare and manage quotations for scientific equipment, consumables and spare parts.
- Process customer orders and provide updates on stock availability and lead times.
- Support the external sales team with product enquiries and account management activities.
- Qualify inbound opportunities and identify cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers, logistics teams and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Deliver high-quality service and technical support to laboratory customers.
- A degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience working in a laboratory, scientific support, internal sales or customer-facing scientific role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM, ERP or order management systems.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
