We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer  supporting operations in the live bay area for turkeys. This role is critical in ensuring animal welfare standards, product quality, and compliance with food safety regulations throughout all stages of production.

Delivering fresh poultry to local retailers and value-adding products to Quick Service Restaurants and food service customers, Baiada are leading the way in the industry through innovation and setting high standards around process and efficiency, which ensures they deliver millions of high-quality products every year.

About the Role:

  • Monitor and assess live bird handling practices 
  • Identify and report any non-conformance issues in handling, hygiene, or processing
  • Perform routine documentation, record-keeping, and reporting of QC checks
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety
  • Assist in audits and continuous improvement initiatives
About You: 
  • Previous experience in quality control, food production, or poultry processing preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork ability
  • Willingness to work around live animals and in slaughter environments
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to keep up with production demands and work effectively as part of a team
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods and carrying out repetitive tasks
  • Available to work early morning shifts - 4:00 am start
  • Holds a current driver's licence and has reliable transportation
  • Active working rights in Australia (legally entitled to work)
