We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer  supporting operations in the live bay area for turkeys. This role is critical in ensuring animal welfare standards, product quality, and compliance with food safety regulations throughout all stages of production.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assess live bird handling practices 
  • Identify and report any non-conformance issues in handling, hygiene, or processing
  • Perform routine documentation, record-keeping, and reporting of QC checks
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety
  • Assist in audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in quality control, food production, or poultry processing preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork ability
  • Willingness to work around live animals and in slaughter environments
  • Flexible availability for shifts - 4am start

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a production plant environment, including standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to follow strict safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to work early morning hours
  • Prior experience with environmental testing or pre-operational inspections is advantageous
