Project Manager (Specialist Projects)
Kurri Kurri, NSW
Attractive Salary Package

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join their Project Delivery team based in Kurri Kurri, NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of sustaining and capital projects across mobile delivery systems, infrastructure upgrades, commissioning activities, asset mobilisation, and operational improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Coordinating contractors, suppliers, procurement activities, and project resources.
  • Managing project governance, reporting, forecasting, and project controls.
  • Leading mobilisation, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Driving projects through to successful completion while balancing competing priorities.
About You

  • Project Delivery
  • Mining

What Will Make You Successful

The ideal candidate will:
  • Make sound decisions with incomplete information.

  • Balance competing stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive outcomes despite uncertainty.
  • Maintain strong ownership and accountability.
  • Be highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable and follow through on commitments.
  • Focus on delivering practical outcomes rather than pursuing technical perfection.
In short, we're looking for someone who can bring structure to complexity, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and consistently deliver successful project outcomes.

Key Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience managing capital and/or sustaining projects.
  • Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and risk.
