About the Opportunity

Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Planner for Hope Downs.
This is a great opportunity to join a safety-focused team working on site with Rio Tinto. You'll work alongside experienced crews, supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to safe and reliable outcomes.
Reporting to the Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating, planning and releasing maintenance work orders using SAP.
- Developing detailed maintenance plans, including labour, materials, tooling and equipment requirements.
- Planning and coordinating maintenance activities across fixed plant assets.
- Preparing work packs and ensuring jobs are ready for execution.
- Supporting maintenance scheduling and execution to maximise asset reliability.
- Planning for shutdowns and weekly maintenance, including scope, resources and scheduling.
- Reviewing completed work and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
About You
- 3-5 years' experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within the mining industry desirable
- Experience planning maintenance activities for Fixed Plant assets
- Previous Rio Tinto site experience highly regarded
- Advanced computer skills, including SAP Concur, Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong organisational, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
- Hold a C class drivers license (required)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dedication to everyone's safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing
