An established industrial manufacturing operation is seeking a hands-on Stores & Inventory Controller to support site stores, inventory accuracy, equipment refurbishment processes, and chemical reporting activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining physical warehouse responsibilities with inventory administration and reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring critical engineering spares, consumables, and chemicals are accurately managed to support site operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support equipment refurbishment processes through SAP while ensuring accurate records and transactions
  • Receive, inspect, and issue engineering spares, consumables, and chemicals
  • Process goods movements against SAP purchase orders and work orders
  • Verify deliveries including quantities, part numbers and condition
  • Report damaged, incorrect or non-conforming inventory items
  • Pick and prepare materials for maintenance, shutdown and production activities
  • Complete weekly and monthly chemical reporting
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal finance teams regarding inventory and reporting requirements
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, transaction errors and master data issues
  • Maintain compliance standards relating to hazardous materials and stores operations
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, stock availability and process efficiency
To be successful, you will have:
  • Current Forklift Licence (highly regarded, but not mandatory)
  • Demonstrated SAP experience
  • Previous stores, warehouse, inventory or spare parts coordination experience
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy environment
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to work
