This is a fast-growing biotech business in the middle of a global expansion. They need a finance partner who sits inside the commercial engine, not behind it. You’ll work directly with the ANZ leadership and sales teams, own the full FP&A cycle, and use it to shape how the business grows, prices and invests.
A big part of the role is working hand in hand with sales. You’ll get to know the seasonal patterns that drive demand, understand what’s behind the peaks and troughs, and turn that into forecasts the business can plan around. As the company scales into new markets, getting this right matters more every quarter.
This is a lean, growing business, so your work is visible and your input counts. Leadership will come to you when they need to understand the numbers and decide what to do next. That takes clear insight, practical forecasting and the confidence to push back when something doesn’t stack up.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with senior leaders and the sales team on performance and growth
- Work closely with sales to understand seasonal cycles and build them into accurate, practical forecasts
- Own budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting across ANZ
- Explain revenue, margin, cost and working capital results in plain commercial terms
- Build scenario models to support pricing, investment and expansion decisions
- Build and improve forecasting models and reporting from the ground up, using Xero and Excel
- Find smarter ways to automate reporting and give leadership better visibility as the business scales
- 5+ years in finance, with strong FP&A experience
- Hands-on business partnering with sales or commercial teams
- Experience forecasting in a business with seasonal or cyclical demand (highly regarded)
- Advanced Excel and strong modelling skills, with Power BI or similar a plus
- Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms
- A hands-on approach and comfort building things without a big team or established systems around you
- The confidence to influence senior leaders and work through ambiguity
