Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced DevOps SRE Engineer located at the Perth Central Park offices, with the option of a hybrid working arrangement. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a leading global organisation, contributing to key operational and business outcomes within supportive team focused on safety, collaboration and delivering operational excellence.
Reporting to the Principal Software (ADS + SCT), you'll use your skills and experience to support business priorities, collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to the success of the operation. In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of the operational reliability of production systems.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment processes, monitoring, logging and telemetry.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting system reliability, including root cause analysis and prevention.
- Automate, optimise and scale infrastructure through code and tooling.
- Support systems at remote mine sites with restricted connectivity alongside central cloud, network and security teams.
- DevOps / SRE experience supporting production-grade systems and improving operational reliability
- Experience supporting systems used at remote operations and working with cloud, network and security teams.
- Strong capability across Linux and Windows environments, CI/CD, containers/orchestration, observability, and automation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Dedication to everyone's safety.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing.
