About the Role
The agency is seeking an experienced Enterprise Workforce Planning Analyst to support workforce planning through high-quality data analysis, reporting and forecasting.
In this role, you will manage and analyse workforce, financial and operational data to identify trends, workforce gaps, emerging pressures and opportunities for improvement. You will translate complex information into clear, meaningful insights to support senior leaders in making evidence-based decisions about workforce capacity, capability and costs.
You will also contribute to workforce forecasting and scenario modelling, working closely with the Senior Enterprise Workforce Planning Specialist and stakeholders across the agency to support enterprise workforce planning priorities.
This role is suited to an analytical and strategic thinker who can work independently, exercise sound judgement and confidently engage with stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain workforce planning datasets, data definitions, business rules, assumptions and source mappings to ensure data consistency, accuracy and traceability.
  • Analyse workforce demand and supply, vacancies, recruitment activity, workforce movements, labour hire, contractors and workforce costs to identify trends, risks and emerging pressures.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and quality issues, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and document limitations where required.

  • Develop and deliver reports, visualisations, analytical summaries and insights to support monthly enterprise workforce planning reporting and executive decision-making.
  • Support workforce forecasting and scenario modelling by testing assumptions, assessing potential impacts and documenting analytical methods and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Finance, People and Culture, operational teams, data owners and other key stakeholders.
  • Apply critical thinking and sound judgement to translate complex workforce information into practical insights that support strategic planning and organisational capability decisions.
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality analytical outputs within agreed timeframes.

You Must Have

  • Demonstrated experience collecting, consolidating, cleansing and validating complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and risks, investigate discrepancies and develop evidence-based insights.
  • Proven experience maintaining analytical datasets and producing clear, accurate reports, dashboards, visualisations or management summaries.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using data analysis and reporting tools. Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation platforms will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear findings and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, scenario modelling, workforce planning, financial planning or similar analytical activities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work collaboratively across business areas, obtain information and resolve data quality issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, confidentiality and information management requirements.
