An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Quality Advisor to join a leading resources and energy organisation supporting a portfolio of operational and sustaining capital projects across multiple sites.
This role will provide quality leadership and technical assurance across the full project lifecycle, from front-end planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning, handover, and project closeout. The scope includes brownfield, like-for-like fixed plant projects within operating assets.

About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for driving quality outcomes across project delivery teams, contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders. You will establish project quality requirements, support procurement and contracting activities, conduct audits and inspections, and ensure compliance with quality management systems, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone who understands both the quality and practical construction aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert quality advice and guidance across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of project quality management systems and processes.
  • Establish project-specific quality requirements and quality plans from project initiation through to closeout.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines to define technical quality requirements for equipment, modules, materials, and supplier packages.
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, inspection records, and contractor deliverables.
  • Support procurement and contracting teams by embedding quality requirements into tender and vendor evaluation processes.
  • Conduct supplier and contractor quality assessments and provide recommendations on quality risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Perform quality audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across projects.
  • Monitor quality performance and report key metrics and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate quality training, inductions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a strong quality culture across project teams and contractors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Engineering degree or relevant trade qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Advisor, Quality Engineer, QA/QC, or similar project quality role.
  • Experience supporting EPC, EP, EPCM or Owner's Team projects.
  • Background within mining, oil & gas, energy, resources, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Strong experience providing quality support through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting front-end procurement and contracting activities for equipment, modules, materials, and vendor packages.
  • Understanding of supplier quality management, inspection and test plans, FATs, SATs, and verification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and industry standards including AS, API, ASME, IEC, and ISO.
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
  • Knowledge of fixed plant construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Operational projects within existing processing or production facilities.
  • Brownfield and sustaining capital project environments.
  • Fixed plant equipment installation and construction quality assurance.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors, OEMs, and major suppliers.
  • Electrical trade or engineering background highly desirable, however candidates from Mechanical, Structural, Process, or other engineering disciplines with strong quality experience will also be considered.
What's on Offer?
  • Perth CBD location.
  • 12-month contract with immediate start available.
  • Opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of operational projects.
  • High-profile role supporting major fixed plant assets.
  • Competitive contract rates.
