About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering environmental health programs and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections of food premises, skin penetration businesses, cooling towers and on-site sewage systems.
- Investigating pollution, public health and environmental incidents.
- Assessing environmental health matters relating to development applications.
- Providing advice and education to businesses, residents and stakeholders.
- Preparing reports, correspondence and regulatory documentation.
- Supporting environmental sustainability initiatives and community education programs.
- Degree qualifications in Environmental Health or a related discipline.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
- Experience within environmental health, public health or local government.
- Strong communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering excellent customer service.
- Sound knowledge of relevant environmental and public health legislation.
