Working within a fast-paced team environment, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategic communications activities, managing digital content, supporting stakeholder engagement, and delivering communication products across a complex government program.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an important international partnership while working closely with government stakeholders, overseas posts and program delivery teams.
In this position, you will:
- Develop and maintain strategic communication plans and supporting materials.
- Produce high-quality communication content across digital, social media and traditional channels.
- Coordinate communication activities across multiple government stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Manage social media content planning, scheduling and moderation activities.
- Create engaging digital assets and branded communication products.
- Develop fact sheets, information products and communication resources for target audiences.
- Coordinate translation and publication of key information materials.
- Assist with multimedia development, including video and image content.
- Support content collection initiatives, including stakeholder stories and case studies.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Experience developing and delivering strategic communication initiatives within a government, corporate or public sector environment.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality content for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing social media channels, content calendars and online engagement activities.
- Proven ability to coordinate communication activities across multiple stakeholders and business areas.
- Experience producing communication materials including fact sheets, digital content, briefings and promotional assets.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience using graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or similar design platforms.
- Knowledge of digital communications, content management and social media best practice.
- Experience coordinating multimedia content including video and photography assets.
- Understanding of communication governance, branding and moderation requirements.
- Previous experience working within the Australian Government environment.
- Minimum NV1 Security Clearance required.
- NV2 Security Clearance highly regarded.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances throughout the contract.
