Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for an exceptional opportunity within a high-profile Federal Government agency supporting Australia's most significant long-term capability program.

This is a unique chance for an experienced Signature Program Lead to influence national security strategies, oversee technical governance, and contribute to a pivotal defense initiative that will shape Australia's submarine capabilities for decades to come.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Signature Program Lead will provide expert leadership in technical control governance, signature management, and strategic oversight of the submarine program. You will be responsible for maintaining rigorous standards, supporting design requirements, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure the safety, stealth, and operational integrity of Australia’s nuclear-powered submarines. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for national security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical governance processes, including signature management and safety standards
  • Support design requirements, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to monitor and improve signature integrity
  • Provide expert advice on signature defects, technical risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making to uphold submarine safety and operational excellence
  • Foster continuous improvement in governance and technical control procedures
  • Maintain security clearances and ensure all activities adhere to security standards

About You:

You will demonstrate:
  • Extensive experience in technical governance, signature management, or related defense environments
  • Strong knowledge of design requirements, safety standards, and technical control processes
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly and confidently
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and professional judgment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance
