We're seeking an experienced SharePoint Consultant to join a major digital transformation project focused on delivering a modern Microsoft 365-based intranet for a Victorian Government organisation.
This role will play a key part in creating a contemporary digital workplace that improves how employees access information, collaborate, and engage with organisational content.
About the Role
Working within a project delivery team, you'll help design, configure and optimise a new intranet built on SharePoint Online (Modern Experience) and the broader Microsoft 365 platform.
You'll be responsible for building and enhancing SharePoint sites, improving information architecture and search functionality, supporting content migration activities, and ensuring the platform delivers an intuitive and engaging user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and implement SharePoint Online solutions and capabilities
- Build and maintain intranet sites, pages, templates and navigation structures
- Design and improve information architecture, metadata and content organisation
- Support content migration and transition activities
- Configure governance, permissions and content management processes
- Improve search functionality and content discoverability
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, OneDrive and Power Platform
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions
- Support testing, deployment and transition to business-as-usual operations
- Strong experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 technologies
- Previous experience delivering intranet implementations, upgrades or migrations
- Knowledge of information architecture, metadata and content governance principles
- Experience supporting digital workplace, collaboration or employee experience initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions
- A collaborative and customer-focused approach
