Project Engineer | Mechanical or Electrical | Major Projects
Location: Primarily Pinjarra(minimum 3 days onsite, preference for 5 days onsite). Flexibility to work from the Booragoon office.
Rate:$90-$105 per hour + Super
Duration: Initial 12-month contract with strong extension potential

Deliver a $250M Major Capital Project Chandler Macleod is seeking a Project Engineer to join a Global Mining Major Projects Team supporting the Pinjarra Residue Filtration Phase 2 Project, a major brownfield capital project valued at approximately $250 million.
Working within an embedded project delivery team, you will support construction execution, commissioning activities and project closeout across a significant refinery expansion program through to early 2028.
This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who has progressed beyond a graduate program and gained experience delivering capital projects within mining, minerals processing, refining, manufacturing, energy or heavy industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Support project delivery from construction through commissioning and handover
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and site-based execution activities
- Assist with scope development, project planning and work package delivery
- Track project actions, risks, schedules and project performance metrics
- Support project reporting, forecasting and stakeholder communication
- Contribute to technical query management and project documentation
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and construction management activities
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and operational stakeholders
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline)
- 3-6 years total engineering experience
- Minimum 2 years Project Engineering experience following completion of a graduate program
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Project coordination, scheduling and reporting experience
- Ability to work confidently within a live operational plant environment
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
- Fixed plant project experience
- Construction execution and commissioning exposure
- Brownfield capital project delivery
- Mining, refining, processing, manufacturing or heavy industry experience
- Owner's team or EPCM project experience
