Key Responsibilities
As the Principal Workforce Standards Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to a network of Workplace Standards Advisors.
- Advising leaders on complex conduct, grievance, disciplinary and performance management matters.
- Conducting research and providing strategic advice on workforce standards, workplace conduct and employee relations issues.
- Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and frameworks that support effective people management practices.
- Conducting quality assurance reviews and audits to ensure consistency and compliance across case management processes.
- Preparing reports, briefings, submissions and stakeholder communications.
- Building capability through coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement.
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to improve workplace standards and organisational outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Significant experience in employee relations, industrial relations, workplace standards, integrity, investigations or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of conduct management, grievance resolution and performance management processes.
- Experience managing complex and sensitive workplace matters in a large or highly regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop individuals and teams.
- Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing executive correspondence, reports and submissions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a focus on practical outcomes.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Human Resources, Employee Relations or Industrial Relations qualifications.
- Experience within government, emergency services, healthcare, corrections, education or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience managing workplace investigations, misconduct matters or integrity-related functions.
- Background leading specialist advisory or case management teams.
