FIFO from Perth | 8/6 Days-Only Roster | 6-Month Initial Contract | Immediate Start

We are currently seeking an experienced HR / Employee Relations Advisor to join a busy mining operation on a FIFO basis from Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys supporting frontline leaders, driving performance management outcomes, and ensuring compliance with workplace policies and Fair Work processes.

This role is heavily focused on administration, documentation, and coaching leaders, providing practical support to supervisors and superintendents while allowing them to focus on operational priorities in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Superintendents and operational leaders to establish a consistent baseline approach to performance management across site.
  • Coach and support supervisors in managing performance, attendance, behavioural, and conduct-related issues.
  • Provide practical guidance on handling difficult employee situations while maintaining team engagement and crew morale.
  • Prepare and manage all associated HR documentation, correspondence, investigations, meeting records, and performance management paperwork.
  • Support policy interpretation and compliance matters, escalating complex employee relations issues to the internal ER team where required.
  • Reduce the administrative burden on supervisors and leadership teams through efficient and accurate HR support.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee matters.
  • Assist in ensuring all people management processes align with Fair Work requirements and company policies.
About You
To be successful, you will possess:
  • Minimum 2 years' Australian HR or Employee Relations experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting leaders with performance management and employee relations matters.
  • Exposure to Fair Work processes, policies, and employment legislation.
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently manage competing priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, preferably within mining, resources, industrial, or large Australian organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.
Highly Regarded
  • Previous experience within the mining or resources sector.
  • Exposure to site-based operational environments.
  • Experience supporting large workforces within complex Australian businesses.
What's on Offer
  • FIFO from Perth.
  • 8/6 days-only roster.
  • 6-month initial contract with the potential for extension.
  • Immediate start available.
  • Opportunity to work closely with operational leaders and make a genuine impact on workforce performance and culture.
If you're a proactive HR professional with a passion for employee relations, performance management, and supporting operational leaders in a fast-paced mining environment, we'd like to hear from you.
