  • Opportunity working at Rio Tinto
  • 5-month assignment via Chandler Macleod
  • Safety-first culture with supportive teams
About the Opportunity
Rio Tinto is a global mining and materials company operating in 35 countries, producing the materials essential to modern life. Their operations are built on safety, innovation, inclusion and creating value for communities, customers and shareholders.

Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Digital Testing Lead to join the Finance Digital team.

Entering the project during mid-build, the Digital Testing Lead will lead user acceptance testing for Finance Digital products and changes, making sure business users can test effectively and that the project has a clear, evidence-based view of readiness for release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate UAT activities with business representatives, product owners and the delivery team.
  • Define test scenarios, test cases and acceptance criteria with the relevant business users.
  • Prepare testers, coordinate testing sessions and keep the test schedule on track.
  • Record, prioritise and follow up defects, issues and decisions arising through UAT.
  • Work with delivery and technical teams to ensure defects are understood, resolved and retested.
  • Provide clear reporting on test progress, outstanding risks and readiness for release.
  • Maintain UAT evidence, including test outcomes, defect status and business sign-off.
  • Identify gaps in test coverage or business readiness early and escalate them appropriately.

To be successful in this role, you encompass;
  • Experience leading or coordinating UAT in a business, finance, systems or digital-delivery environment.
  • Able to work comfortably with business users who have varying levels of technical confidence.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through across multiple testers, scenarios and competing priorities.
  • Clear written communication, particularly for defects, risks, test outcomes and release-readiness reporting.
  • Can demonstrate practical judgement about what needs escalation and what can be resolved within the delivery team.
  • Experience with the SAP Analytic Cloud (SAC) and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) will be highly regarded but not critical.

Apply now!
If you are organised, calm under pressure and prepared to seek clarification when testing outcomes are unclear, we would love to hear from you.
