We're seeking an experienced Social Media & Content Officer to develop engaging content, manage social media channels, and deliver impactful digital communications that keep the community informed and connected.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage and grow Council's social media presence across multiple platforms
  • Develop and deliver social media strategies and digital campaigns
  • Create engaging written, video and visual content
  • Manage website and intranet content
  • Monitor trends, community sentiment and social media performance
  • Provide communications advice and support across the organisation
About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in journalism, media, communications, web content or similar
  • Experience managing social media for a medium to large organisation
  • Strong writing, editing and content creation skills
  • Experience developing communication or social media strategies
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience with website content management and digital communications
Desirable
  • Local government experience
  • Knowledge of SEO, accessibility and online content best practice
  • Speech or media writing experience
