- Review existing shutdown planning methodologies, schedules, maintenance data, and work management processes.
- Create structured annual shutdown plans that can be consistently executed by both internal maintenance teams and external contractors.
- Integrate statutory inspections, compliance requirements, and secondary maintenance activities into a sustainable annual shutdown cycle.
- Develop detailed shutdown schedules, resource forecasts, and execution readiness plans.
- Identify planning risks, constraints, critical path activities, and resource requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in shutdown and maintenance planning within mining, processing, chemical, resources, or heavy industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing long-term maintenance and shutdown schedules.
- Strong understanding of statutory maintenance requirements and asset management principles.
- Proven ability to develop integrated shutdown plans from concept through to execution readiness.
- Experience identifying resource requirements, constraints, and schedule risks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- High-level planning and scheduling software capability (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP PM, or similar).
- A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
