Our client, de Witt Consulting, is a well-established and respected planning and surveying consultancy delivering a diverse range of development projects across NSW.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to manage projects, provide high-quality planning advice, and work closely with clients, councils, consultants and the internal planning team.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects, build strong client relationships and work towards a future leadership opportunity within a growing consultancy.
The RoleYou’ll manage planning projects from inception through to determination, working closely with clients, town planners and senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage and prepare Development Applications across NSW
  • Prepare planning reports, assessments and conditions of consent
  • Provide clear, practical and commercially focused planning advice to clients
  • Lead pre-lodgement meetings and contribute to project strategy
  • Liaise with councils, government authorities and external consultants
  • Conduct site inspections where required
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables and client expectations
  • Support and mentor junior planning team members
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the planning team
About You

You’ll be an experienced town planner who is confident managing your own projects and communicating directly with clients and stakeholders.
Ideally, you’ll have:
  • A degree qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning or Urban & Regional Planning
  • 3+ years’ experience working within the NSW planning system
  • Strong knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and NSW development assessment processes
  • Experience preparing high-quality planning reports and assessments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience within a planning consultancy or local government environment
  • A practical, client-focused approach to planning and project delivery
