An established organisation delivering critical utility and essential services across Western Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to support safety, compliance and risk management across operational environments.
This is a hands-on role suited to a safety professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams, contractors and leaders to drive a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with industry and legislative requirements.
About you:
- Demonstrated Australian WHS/Safety experience.
- Experience within Utilities, Essential Services, and Supply Authority Compliance environments.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, risk management and incident investigation.
- Experience working within regulated utilities, infrastructure, energy, water, wastewater or asset-intensive operational environments.
- The ability to influence and engage stakeholders across operational and contractor workforces.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout WA.
- Provide WHS advice and support across operational teams.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments and site observations.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Support contractor management and permit-to-work compliance.
- Maintain and improve safety systems, policies and procedures.
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across metropolitan and remote operations.
- Experience in power, water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure or essential services operations.
- Exposure to regulated industries and supply authority compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting critical infrastructure, remote operations or field-based maintenance activities.
- Electrical, power,water industry or other relevant technical/trade background
