About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support a major decarbonisation program involving renewable energy infrastructure, electrification initiatives, battery-electric mining fleets, OEM development programs and operational transition activities.
This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising integrated project schedules across a diverse portfolio of capital projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept and engineering through to commissioning, operational readiness and handover.
Working within a high-performing project services team, you will collaborate closely with project delivery, engineering, procurement, operations, contractors and OEM partners to provide schedule leadership, performance analysis and project controls support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and detailed project schedules across multiple decarbonisation projects.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, fleet readiness and operational transition activities within portfolio schedules.
- Develop resource, commodity and cost-loaded schedules.
- Perform critical path analysis, milestone tracking and "what-if" scenario planning.
- Maintain schedule integrity through logic reviews, schedule health checks and planning best practices.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) and analyse schedule performance, including CPI and SPI reporting.
- Review and integrate contractor, supplier and OEM schedules into master project programs.
- Identify schedule risks, opportunities and emerging trends, providing proactive recommendations to project teams.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress, performance and forecasting reports.
- Participate in schedule reviews, risk workshops, change management processes and capital planning activities.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 10 years' experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proven client-side experience across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to execution and handover.
- Experience supporting major capital projects within mining, resources, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies and project governance.
- Demonstrated experience integrating multiple contractor, supplier and operational schedules.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Sound understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and performance reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Project Controls, Planning or Scheduling certification.
- Experience in mining fleet electrification, OEM programs or decarbonisation initiatives.
