Senior Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Finance Manager to join a leading global heavy equipment organisation. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will take ownership of the company's equipment financing operations across Australia, driving finance penetration, supporting sales growth, managing credit risk, and building strong customer and dealer relationships.

This is a highly visible position that combines, portfolio management, credit oversight, and strategic stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with local teams and international headquarters to deliver financing solutions that support business growth and customer success.

International travel flexibility is required, with periodic travel to regional offices, dealer partners, and company headquarters across the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Support
  • Champion equipment finance solutions across the customer and dealer network
  • Partner with sales teams to increase financing penetration and support revenue growth
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, customers, financial institutions, and business partners
  • Identify new financing opportunities and contribute to market expansion initiatives
  • Provide expert guidance on financing structures and customer funding solutions
Credit & Risk Management
  • Conduct preliminary assessments of customer finance applications
  • Prepare and coordinate credit submissions with internal approval teams
  • Liaise with insurance providers to ensure financed assets remain compliant and adequately protected
  • Monitor portfolio quality and proactively identify emerging credit risks
  • Support risk mitigation strategies while maintaining a commercial approach
Portfolio & Collections Management
  • Manage and monitor customer repayment performance
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and work collaboratively with customers to achieve positive outcomes
  • Balance customer relationship management with responsible portfolio oversight
  • Maintain high portfolio quality and performance standards
Administration & Reporting
  • Prepare and manage finance agreements and supporting documentatio
  • Ensure accurate contract execution and record management
  • Provide reporting, analysis, forecasting, and operational support to both local management and headquarters
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements
About You

You are a self-motivated finance professional who enjoys operating autonomously while influencing key stakeholders across the business. You have strong commercial acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a track record of driving equipment finance growth.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years' experience within equipment finance, commercial finance, asset finance, or banking
  • Strong knowledge of credit assessment, risk management, and portfolio administration
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer and dealer relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong commercial focus
  • Mandarin Chinese language capability is essential to support communication and collaboration with international headquarters
  • Willingness and flexibility to undertake international travel as required
Highly Regarded
  • Experience working within heavy equipment, construction, mining, industrial machinery, or dealer network environments
  • Exposure to multinational organisations and cross-border financing operations
