About the Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is partnering with a highly regarded professional services firm to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant or Business Services Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to expand their experience across taxation, business advisory, client management and strategic planning.

Working alongside senior leadership, you'll support a diverse client base ranging from privately owned businesses to investors and high-net-worth individuals, while gaining exposure to more complex advisory and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of accounting, taxation and advisory services for a varied client portfolio.

Your duties will include:

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and taxation returns
- Managing annual compliance requirements for a range of entity structures
- Overseeing client work from commencement through to completion
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting with taxation planning and strategic business advice
- Supporting business structuring and asset protection initiatives
- Preparing management reports, financial analysis and cash flow forecasts
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders where required
- Ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance and professional service delivery
- Developing a thorough understanding of clients' commercial objectives and business operations

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

- Previous experience within Business Services and Taxation
- Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting regulations
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across various entity structures
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple client engagements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and leadership teams
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification, or significant progress towards completion, will be highly regarded

Technical Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate experience with:

Xero Accounting Software
- Xero Tax Solutions

Experience with the following platforms will be advantageous:

- Xero Practice Manager
- Active Ledger
- Class Super
- Microsoft 365 Suite
