This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project professional to lead the planning, delivery and governance of strategic projects that contribute to critical government services and outcomes. Working alongside senior stakeholders, you will drive project success through effective leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management and continuous improvement practices.
- 12-month contract with potential extensions up to 24 months
- Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne
- Leading the delivery of complex projects, including planning, scheduling, governance and management of project interdependencies.
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across government, business and technical teams.
- Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and benefits to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation including project plans, schedules, business cases, reports, executive briefs and governance papers.
- Monitoring project performance, budgets and deliverables to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
- Supporting organisational change initiatives and driving continuous improvement across project delivery practices.
- Providing leadership, coaching and guidance to project team members and stakeholders.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within government, ICT or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- The ability to balance competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE2 or similar.
- Strong reporting, governance and project documentation capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Digital health, Medicare, interoperability or government ICT project experience.
- Payment integrity, compliance or fraud-related program delivery.
- Experience working within Federal Government environments.
- Familiarity with Services Australia's P3 Framework or similar project delivery frameworks.
