About the RoleChandler Macleod is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Process Workers with counterbalance forklift experience to join a busy pet food production facility in Laverton North.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work, with the opportunity to upskill and take on forklift duties.
You will initially work as a Process Worker, completing site training and working towards being signed off on the site's forklift requirements. Once signed off, you will perform a combination of process work and counterbalance forklift duties.
Please note, this is a pet food production environment and has a strong odour. You must be comfortable working around pet food products and in a smelly environment on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and production work within a pet food manufacturing environment
- Packing, sorting and general production line duties
- Manual handling and repetitive tasks
- Operating a counterbalance forklift once trained and signed off
- Moving pallets, raw materials and finished products
- Working across fresh, chilled and frozen areas
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Current LF forklift licence – mandatory
- Previous counterbalance forklift experience – mandatory
- Available to work Monday to Friday from 5:00am
- Comfortable working in a strong odour / pet food environment
- Comfortable working in cold and frozen areas
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace safety
- Willing to undertake process work while completing forklift training and site sign-off
- Food manufacturing or production experience
- Pet food, meat, abattoir or frozen food experience
- Warehouse experience
- Palletising and scanning experience
- Ongoing Monday to Friday work
- Consistent early morning starts
