About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, delivering policy and capability outcomes, engaging with domestic and international stakeholders, and contributing to major national initiatives.
Responsibilities may include:
- Developing and delivering high-quality policy, capability or strategic communications advice.
- Supporting Ministerial, Executive and Cabinet-level submissions and briefings.
- Building productive relationships with stakeholders across government, industry and international partners.
- Analysing complex strategic, technical and policy issues to inform decision-making.
- Contributing to communications and engagement strategies that support public understanding and stakeholder confidence.
- Coordinating meetings, visits, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Supporting program planning, policy development and implementation activities.
- Assisting with the leadership, mentoring and development of junior team members.
- Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Experience developing policy, strategy, communications, capability or program-related advice.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate complex issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and influencing capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within timeframes.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience working within government or complex regulatory environments will be highly regarded.
