Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering & Assets team, supporting the delivery of a diverse range of fixed plant projects across Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, contributing to projects ranging from bulk storage and distribution facilities through to complex manufacturing plant developments. Reporting to the Discipline Lead, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of engineering solutions, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.

About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with and executing mechanical engineering design activities across a variety of fixed plant projects. You will work closely with engineers, designers and project stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and execute mechanical engineering design scopes across a range of fixed plant projects.
  • Support capital project delivery from concept development through to commissioning and handover.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and safety studies.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external engineering service providers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical support for existing plant and asset improvement projects.
About You
We are looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys working in a team environment and is keen to build their career within a project-focused engineering role.

Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working within engineering project teams.
  • Experience delivering projects within fixed plant, manufacturing, processing, mining, chemical or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering design principles and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • RPEQ accreditation is preferred but not essential.

Flexible Working

The role is based in Kurri Kurri, NSW. Successful candidates will be office-based during their initial onboarding and training period. Once established in the role, a hybrid working arrangement is available, including work-from-home options on Mondays and Fridays. Core office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays is required.
