Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Practitioner to support a high-profile program focused on the acquisition, introduction into service, and sustainment of specialist capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with Defence experience to play a key role in ensuring products are effectively supported throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition through to sustainment.

About the Role Working within a specialist Defence project environment, you will be responsible for delivering Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) outcomes that support the introduction into service and ongoing sustainment of critical capabilities.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work within a small, collaborative team and apply your expertise across logistics management, inventory systems, technical documentation, codification, stakeholder engagement, and sustainment planning.
This role requires a proactive and experienced practitioner who can work with limited direction while delivering quality outcomes in a complex Defence environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver all aspects of Integrated Logistics Support activities.
  • Perform codification and cataloguing of items of supply using mandated logistics inventory management systems.
  • Identify supplier and repair pipelines and support the establishment of through-life support arrangements.
  • Develop, review and maintain technical documentation, including equipment schedules and repair parts schedules.
  • Support the introduction into service of products and associated logistics activities.
  • Manage inventory transactions and functions within authorised logistics systems.
  • Develop entitlement and provisioning documentation in support of capability delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for logistics support activities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Liaise with Defence stakeholders, project teams, military units and industry partners.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and working groups to ensure delivery of ILS outcomes.
  • Prepare reports, briefs and logistics artefacts to support project outcomes.
  • Participate in acceptance testing activities and provide recommendations relating to logistics supportability and sustainment outcomes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Proven experience as an Integrated Logistics Support Practitioner within Defence or a comparable environment.
  • Experience supporting acquisition, introduction into service and sustainment activities across the capability lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of Defence logistics policies, processes and frameworks.
  • Experience developing and managing logistics support documentation and artefacts.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience contributing to logistics planning, provisioning, maintenance and sustainment activities.
  • Certificate IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent practical experience.
Essential Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with Integrated Logistics Support activities across acquisition and sustainment phases.
  • Experience supporting Introduction Into Service (IIS) activities and capability delivery programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Defence system access and approvals.
Highly Desirable
  • Previous experience supporting maritime, amphibious, or military watercraft capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Defence logistics and inventory management environments.
  • Experience using:
    • SAP / S4HANA
    • FEDLOG
    • MEMS
    • MCCAT
    • Objective
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Logistics Information Management Systems (LIMS)
