Are you passionate about optimising infrastructure assets and driving organisational excellence? We’re seeking a talented Infrastructure Asset Management Specialist to join our client and deliver strategic outcomes that make a real difference. This is an initial 9-month contract with strong extension potential, offering an exciting opportunity to lead key asset management initiatives within a dynamic, asset-intensive environment, shaping the future of organisational asset practices and standards.

Location:  Brisbane CBD
Working Arrangement:  Hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office)
Hours:  38-hour week
Pay Rate:  Up to $119/hr + Super 

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing both strategic advice and technical expertise across the Asset Management Improvement (AMI) programme. You'll lead projects focused on asset hierarchies, data standards, governance models, and inspection regimes to enhance asset lifecycle management and support decision-making processes. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll develop and implement asset management strategies in line with ISO 55000 standards, ensuring continuous improvement and organisational capability uplift.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in infrastructure asset management, with a track record of leading complex projects from inception to successful implementation. You will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating technical insights into practical business improvements. Your familiarity with asset data standards, governance frameworks, and lifecycle management will be vital in influencing positive change and driving asset performance.


Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure asset management, including frameworks, governance models, or operating structures, preferably in complex environments
  • Proven success in leading asset management projects from discovery through to implementation, with strong project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills at all organisational levels
  • Ability to analyse complex asset issues and translate findings into actionable solutions
  • Experience with asset data standards, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives

Desirable:
  • Experience working within asset-intensive industries such as utilities, transportation, government, or infrastructure authorities
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 standards and asset management frameworks
  • Ability to influence through strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Prior experience using data analytics and reporting tools to support decision-making

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in asset management, project leadership, or strategic planning within a relevant sector

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams
  • Ability to travel if required for stakeholder engagement or site investigations
  • Relevant professional certifications in asset management or project management are desirable
