Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HR & Corporate Officer to join a high-performing Commonwealth organisation delivering nationally significant programs and business initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with experience in human resources, recruitment, governance, workforce coordination, or corporate administration to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting workforce capability, corporate operations, and business outcomes across the organisation.

The Opportunity As the HR & Corporate Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support across a range of people and corporate functions. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will contribute to recruitment activities, workforce initiatives, governance processes, administration, reporting, and business improvement projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about delivering high-quality customer service while supporting organisational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Assist with HR administration and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Coordinate workforce planning, reporting, and people-related initiatives.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing papers, and corporate documentation.
  • Provide secretariat support, including agendas, minutes, action tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records, corporate systems, and documentation.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations on HR, workforce, and corporate matters.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with governance activities, compliance requirements, and business reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements and the delivery of corporate projects and initiatives.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, Corporate Services, Governance, Workforce Planning, or Administration.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience preparing business correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
  • The ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Sound judgement, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and corporate business systems.
Security Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
