We are seeking multiple Grant Assessors to join a busy and collaborative team responsible for delivering grant programs that support Australian communities and organisations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong administrative, assessment, compliance, customer service, or case management experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role is a full time labour hire contract based in Canberra until December 2026 with potential extension.
About the role:
As a Grant Assessor, you will assess grant applications, manage a personal caseload, and support the administration and delivery of grant programs. You will work within established policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely outcomes.
This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess grant applications in accordance with program guidelines, procedures, and requirements.
  • Support grant administration and execution activities.
  • Manage a personal caseload in a high-volume processing environment.
  • Deliver accurate, consistent, and timely assessment outcomes.
  • Identify and escalate issues, risks, or inconsistencies where required.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records to support decisions and quality assurance processes.
  • Respond to provider enquiries professionally and within required timeframes.
  • Contribute to team outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
To be suitable for this role you will have: 

  • Previous grants administration experience
  • Previous experience in assessment or compliance-based roles.
  • Previous experience in government program delivery.
  • Previous experience in regulatory, policy, or administrative environments.
  • Customer or stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Experience working within processes, procedures, or legislative frameworks.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organisational and case management skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve

Location & Eligibility
  • Canberra ACT
  • Full-time onsite role (5 days per week in the office)
