Production Forklift Driver
Our client is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and motivated Production Forklift Driver to join their manufacturing operation based in Virginia, SA.
This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced forklift operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are supplied to machinery, finished products are moved efficiently, and production runs smoothly throughout the day.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure materials and products are moved to the correct locations to support daily operations.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting stock as required.
  • Accurately check products, labels, and documentation before moving goods.
  • Support production and warehouse teams to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Assist with stock control activities, including inventory checks and stocktakes.
  • Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas.
  • Assist with general production, warehouse, and housekeeping duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets.
  • Follow all workplace health, safety, quality, and company procedures.
 
About You
  • A current LF Forklift License.
  • Previous forklift experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to assist with general production and housekeeping duties.
  • Experience with stock control systems or SAP is advantageous but not essential.
  • Full Australian working rights.
 
Working Hours
  • As part of a seasonal industry, working hours will vary depending on customer orders, production requirements, and fresh produce demand.
  • During the busy summer season, shifts may increase to up to 12 hours per day, with start times as early as 6:00am and finish times extending to 6:00pm.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak production periods.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours is essential.
