About the role: As a Fixed Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of critical port infrastructure and fixed plant equipment.
Your experience will ideally include:
- Operating car dumpers
- Operating and monitoring conveyor systems
- Operating shiploaders
- Carrying out wash-down activities and maintaining plant hygiene
- Performing routine plant inspections and operational checks
- Identifying equipment faults, defects and abnormal operating conditions
- Participating in fault recovery and responding to plant interruptions
- Communicating effectively with the Operations Centre and other key stakeholders
- Completing accurate shift handovers and operational documentation
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping across the plant
- Working safely and efficiently to meet operational and production requirements
- Contributing to a positive team culture and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience as a Fixed Plant Operator
- Experience operating car dumpers, conveyors and shiploaders
- Proven experience with fault recovery and troubleshooting
- Experience conducting plant wash-downs
- A strong commitment to safety and working within established procedures
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also managing tasks independently
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- A current WA C Class driver's licence – essential
- A current MSIC or NPC – essential
- The ability and willingness to work a rotating 5/5/4 day and night roster
