Farm Hand - Expression of Interest (EOI)

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and hardworking Farm Hand to join our client's team, working across poultry farms in the beautiful Far North Adelaide. This essential role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the care and management of poultry livestock.

Role Overview:
As a Farm Hand, you will be hands-on with chickens and roosters, performing a variety of essential farm tasks. This role requires physical stamina, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety. It’s ideal for those living near Elizabeth or northern Adelaide who are eager to enter the agriculture sector and grow their skills within a supportive team.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work physically with ongoing manual handling up to 20kgs
  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks
  • Positive, energetic, and hardworking attitude
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work with live birds and perform farm duties
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
Nice to Have Skills:

  • Previous farm or poultry experience (not mandatory)
  • Basic knowledge of safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Preferred Education and Experience:

  • No formal education required; experience in manual labor or farm work is advantageous but not essential
  • Candidates with a strong work ethic and a positive mindset are highly encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:

  • Must have full-time work rights in Australia
  • Cannot live or have regular contact with birds or pigs due to quarantine restrictions
  • Available for a five-day work week, with occasional weekend shifts
  • Willingness to undertake comprehensive safety training and PPE use
