Data Analyst (Workforce Planning)

12-Week Contract | Immediate Start

$66 per hour + Super

An exciting short-term opportunity is available for an experienced Data Analyst to support a major workforce planning project within a large and complex organisation.
Working as part of the Workforce Planning team, you'll play a key role in analysing workforce data, developing forecasting models, producing meaningful insights and supporting strategic workforce decision-making. Alongside project work, you'll also assist with business-as-usual reporting and analytics activities.
This role would suit someone who enjoys transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and has experience working with workforce, people, operational or economic data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse workforce and people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain workforce forecasting models and planning tools.
  • Deliver regular reporting, dashboards and analytical insights to support decision-making.
  • Conduct workforce modelling, gap analysis and workforce planning activities.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and data analysis in response to business needs.
  • Support the development and maintenance of datasets, databases and reporting solutions.
  • Investigate data anomalies and ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting outputs.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting processes, methodologies and data quality.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting and business insights.
  • Experience with workforce, people, operational or economic modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing dashboards, forecasts or workforce planning reports will be highly regarded.
