As the Contracts Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing contractors delivering critical operational activities including earthworks, drilling, geophysics, rehabilitation, water drilling and test pumping. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule and to the required standard, while driving contractor performance and developing strong partnerships with both internal teams and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contractor compliance in line with the Contractor Management System (CMS).
- Supervise and coordinate contracted operational activities against approved plans and schedules.
- Monitor contractor performance, service delivery and operational readiness.
- Conduct field inspections, workplace interactions and quality assurance activities.
- Identify operational risks, improvement opportunities and performance initiatives.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across contractor workgroups.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Support contractors in developing and improving safe work practices and operational behaviours.
- Support continuous improvement programs focused on safety, productivity, cost and quality.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate across departments to achieve operational objectives and planning commitments.
- Schedule 26 certification (essential).
- Minimum 2 years' mine site supervision experience.
- Experience managing mining, drilling, earthworks or related contractor operations.
- Strong understanding of Contractor Management Systems (CMS) and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of operational planning, resource allocation and field execution activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational systems.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- A proactive approach to safety leadership and operational excellence.
