Chandler Macleod is seeking reliable and motivated Animal Attendants to help support their client located in Bulla, Victoria.
This is a rewarding hands-on role caring for working dogs that play a vital role in supporting operations. Successful candidates will assist with the daily care, welfare, exercise, and transportation of detector dogs while maintaining high standards of animal husbandry and facility presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and welfare support for detector dogs
- Feed, groom, exercise, and monitor animal health and wellbeing
- Clean and maintain kennels, yards, equipment, and facilities
- Assist with transporting dogs to and from operational and training locations
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- Adhere to animal welfare, workplace safety, and biosecurity procedures
- Work collaboratively with handlers, trainers, and operational staff
- Passion for animal care and welfare
- Previous experience working with animals, kennels, shelters, veterinary clinics, or similar environments is highly regarded
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, cleaning, and outdoor activities
- Strong reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to animal wellbeing
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
- Flexibility & Availability to work across AM & PM shifts 7 days a week, 365 days a year
