Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Rate:$79.18 - $84.55 per hour + Super

Are you an experienced communications professional looking to contribute to major infrastructure projects that will leave a lasting impact on the Sunshine Coast?
We are seeking an AO6 Communications Advisor to join a high-performing communications and stakeholder engagement team supporting the delivery of significant infrastructure initiatives. This is an outstanding opportunity to secure a long-term contract while working on complex, high-profile projects that make a real difference to local communities.

The Opportunity
As the Communications Advisor, you will lead and coordinate communication and stakeholder engagement activities across major project portfolios. Working closely with project teams, contractors, government stakeholders and community representatives, you will help ensure clear, timely and effective communication throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Provide strategic communications advice to project and delivery teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate community engagement activities, project notifications and stakeholder briefings.
  • Prepare and review communication materials to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy.
  • Support issue management, risk mitigation and reputation management activities.
  • Monitor stakeholder feedback and community sentiment to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project teams and delivery partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
  • Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, public relations or corporate affairs.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgement and experience managing sensitive issues and communications risks.
  • Experience within infrastructure, construction, government or major project environments will be highly regarded.
