Contingent IT MSP

Since 2007, we have been the sole supplier of IT talent for one of Australia’s largest retail operations across Australia

Contact us

Background

In 2007, our client was looking to find a sole supplier for recruitment of all contingent IT roles, and a provider who could work closely with the client’s in-house Contractor Management Team. The supplier needed to be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, including the provision of payroll and immigration services for IT contract labour.

The challenges included managing the risk, distribution and coordination of the IT talent requirements and fulfillment of the roles, to ensure good business continuity was maintained.

Our Solutions

During the planning phase a comprehensive project plan was developed to capture potential risks.

We worked closely with our client to establish the best approach, which included the instigation of an onsite Relationship Manager to coordinate all activities with the client’s Resource Manager and Hiring Managers.

This role also acted as a backup, performing activities during internal team absences, reinforcing our focus on business continuity and delivering a premium service.

Outcomes

Our dedicated onsite Relationship Manager coordinates all activities, including rate negotiations in accordance with the client’s rate card, qualifying roles directly with Hiring Managers, reviewing resumes and feedback, coordinating interviews, finalising the start and end dates.

Over the 15 years this arrangement has been in place, we have:

  • Filled 100% of roles.
  • Filled more than 2,300 roles since becoming the sole supplier.
  • Assessed over 47,000 candidates to shortlist a total of 7,200 IT professionals.
  • Highest number of hires in a single year: 346
  • Highest number of hires in a single month: 72
