Chandler Macleod is seeking a proactive and organised Workforce Coordinator to support the delivery of workforce services across large-scale mining operations.
Reporting to the Business Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring employees remain compliant, supported, and operationally ready while delivering a high level of service to both workers and clients.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and coordinating workforce activities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a site-based Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) position supporting major mining operations across Queensland.
We recognise that flexibility is important and will consider a range of roster arrangements for the successful candidate, aligned to operational requirements and site needs.
Depending on location and client requirements, roster options may include Monday to Friday, 4 days on/3 days off, or 7 days on/7 days off.
About the Role
As a key workforce contact, you will coordinate daily workforce operations, support employee engagement, and ensure compliance with client and legislative requirements.
You will work closely with employees, operational teams, and client stakeholders to maintain a productive and well-supported workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary contact for workforce employees and client stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships through regular communication and support.
- Coordinate workforce attendance, accommodation, mobilisation, and wellbeing activities.
- Manage employment documentation, workforce movements, and assignment administration.
- Support payroll accuracy by resolving employee enquiries and maintaining workforce data.
- Monitor training, licences, medicals, and site access requirements.
- Proactively manage compliance requirements and minimise operational risks.
- Coordinate incident reporting, injury management, and return-to-work support.
- Prepare workforce reports and maintain accurate records within workforce management systems.
- Resolve workforce issues through effective communication, escalation, and follow-up.
- Experience in workforce coordination, recruitment, labour hire, mining, or a similar operational environment.
- Understanding of workforce compliance and employment-related requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using HR, workforce management, or CRM systems.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
