We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a high-performing IT team supporting a range of digital transformation and enterprise technology initiatives.
This role will see you work closely with business stakeholders, architects, project teams, and technology vendors to analyse business needs, improve processes, and deliver solutions that align with strategic organisational objectives.
About the Role:
- Gathering, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Mapping current and future state processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Developing user stories, functional requirements, process maps, and solution design documentation.
- Facilitating workshops with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
- Supporting solution design, implementation, and integration activities.
- Coordinating across multiple departments and project teams to ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining strong working relationships across the organisation.
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and solution validation activities.
- Contributing to enterprise architecture artefacts, including solution blueprints, capability maps, and integration models.
- Ensuring solutions comply with governance frameworks, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within a complex organisation.
- Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation skills.
- Experience developing user stories, process maps, functional specifications, and solution designs.
- Demonstrated experience working within Agile project environments.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, system implementation, or enterprise application projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in project teams and work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proven ability to work with limited supervision while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and planning skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years' experience in a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst role.
- Experience with process mapping tools such as Visio, BPMN, or Promapp will be highly regarded.
- Experience in Local Government, State Government, or large enterprise environments is advantageous.
