We’re seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to provide short-term support within a busy Building Services team for a 4-week contract.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced admin work, has strong organisational skills, and is confident dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing records of building investigations and complaints
- Supporting the Building Enforcement Officer with day-to-day administration
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, letters, team inbox)
- Assisting with scheduling inspections and maintaining filing systems
- Processing applications and updating relevant systems
- Collecting data and assisting with monthly reporting
- Answering phone enquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Supporting front counter enquiries and providing customer service
- Attending meetings as required
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in a government or compliance environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and general computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage competing tasks in a busy environment
- Confident providing customer service and handling enquiries professionally
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
