Join a team responsible for shaping the technology landscape that supports critical energy generation assets across thermal, hydro, wind and battery storage operations with our client AGL. This is a 12 month contract role, based in Melbourne CBD in a hybrid working environment.
As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing end-to-end technology solutions across the OT landscape, ensuring they are secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to business objectives.
You will provide architectural leadership across critical operational systems while engaging with stakeholders to solve complex business and technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and govern solution architecture across OT platforms and infrastructure
• Develop architecture patterns, standards and roadmaps for operational systems
• Support the delivery of OT modernisation and transformation initiatives
• Ensure solutions align with security, resilience and operational requirements
• Review designs, implementation approaches and vendor proposals
• Partner with business, engineering and technology teams to drive successful outcomes
• Contribute to architecture forums and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You are an experienced OT Architect who understands the unique challenges of industrial environments and critical infrastructure.
You will bring:
• Extensive experience within Operational Technology (OT) environments
• Strong exposure to SCADA, industrial control systems and operational platforms
• Deep infrastructure architecture experience across networks, servers, storage, virtualisation and cloud
• Strong understanding of firewalls, routing, switching, identity and access management, and security tooling
• Experience designing highly available and resilient solutions for mission-critical environments
• Knowledge of OT cyber security frameworks and risk management for critical infrastructure
• Experience working across both strategic architecture and delivery execution
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
